Make Folder Read Write for All Users
Network: Establishing Windows File and Folder Level Permissions
Last updated
In many cases, you will need to alter the permissions that a certain group or private user has to a file or folder. For instance, you tin can designate a special folder on the Westward: drive within your department's area chosen "Incoming" as a place where students tin can plough in their work. To do this, yous would start demand to create a new binder on the Westward: bulldoze. By default, the new folder will have the same permissions every bit the parent folder, which would not permit students to submit their work, and may not allow students to even access the folder. You would then need to permit students access to the new folder, and set up permissions for the binder. When you set permissions, y'all are specifying what level of admission students take to the binder and its files and what students can do within that folder such as save, delete, or read files.
NOTE: The majority of these instructions refer to Calculator in the Start Bill of fare.
